Conference Space - Our Downtown Dalton offices provide members with a convenient place to meet clients, employees or peers and do business. Our conference room comfortably seats up to eight in a professional, board-room environment. If you need a classroom, we have the prefect place to conduct a seminar for up to 30 people. We even have a member room with private phones for returning calls from all those people who beeped you in the past hour, perfect if you’re operating out-of-pocket. Our members think of our offices as their offices-and that’s just the way we like it.

Industry Updates/Newsletters - As denizens of Dalton, we have the inside track on who’s doing what within the flooring industry. That’s why we provide frequent news releases to our members of opportunities or events that may effect their business. And our newsletters keep our members advised of new product introductions, upcoming trade shows, and whatever else we hear you should know about.
Direct Mail/Mailing Lists - AFA provides members with free, current mailing lists targeted to leading flooring industry manufacturers, distributors, vendors and others involved in the trade. What’s more, we can assist in the distribution of promotional literature for your company. So whatever your direct mail needs, we have the experience and expertise to help lighten your marketing load.
Product/Service Promotion - Our staff provides member companies with a variety of professional promotional services, which includes generating publicity through our trade and news media contacts; the preparation and distribution of press releases; a free listing of products and services on our Internet web page (click here to see our special website development package); listing within the membership directory; assistance in developing trade advertising; and advertising opportunities exclusively targeted to the trade.
Market Preparation - AFA sponsors local trade shows for the flooring industry, including the biennial FloorTek Expo, which features machinery, equipment and service vendors for the floor covering industry. Our staff coordinates the logistics of all exhibits, accepts reservations and provides other marketing services for the show. Additionally, AFA exhibits at such international shows as Domotex to promote the products and services or member companies. And we help member companies develop foreign markets through export training workshops and access to a global network.
Networking - AFA assists members in linking up with other companies creating a business to business network of local, national & international companies.
AFA arranges meetings between members and other companies seeking products/services or opportunities in the industry. AFA does the research to put you in contact with the proper companies, regardless of the type product/service your company is looking for. AFA is the Networking source for the industry!
Annual Meeting - The members of the association are invited to attend the annual meeting held each September at the end of their membership year. The membership meeting, held at various locations each year, features a keynote speaker, board of director nominations, association sponsored cocktail party followed by a dinner. Members are also encouraged to bring along a friend(s) to network with other members.
Nominations for any open positions on the board of directors are accepted prior to the meeting or they may be made from the floor of the meeting. Any member in good standing may serve as a director. Board of directors serve 1-2 years terms and meet four times a year to conduct the association business.
